Romani of Romanes (romani ćhib) is 'n Indo-Ariese taal wat hoofsaaklik in Sentraal- en Oos-Europa deur 3 miljoen Roma gepraat word. Dit is verwant aan Hindi en Oerdoe. In Kosowo en die Republiek van Masedonië word Romani as plaaslike ampstaal erken en in Duitsland[4], Finland, Hongarye[5], Noorweë, Oostenryk, Roemenië, Slowenië en Swede[6] word Romani amptelik as minderheidstaal erken.
