Hy het sy loopbaan in die laat 1980's begin in klein [[televisie]]rolle, hoofsaaklik van skurke en dwelmhandelaars, in byvoorbeeld ''Miami Vice'' en ''Drug Wars: The Camarena Story''. Hy het daarna in rolprente begin optree – sy debuut was in ''Big Top Pee-wee'' en daarna het die [[James Bond]]-prent ''Licence to Kill'' gevolg.<ref name="actors">Uit ’n onderhoud op ''Inside the Actors Studio''</ref> Hy was ook in ''The Indian Runner'' (1991), ''China Moon'' (1994), ''Christopher Columbus: The Discovery'' (1992), ''Money for Nothing'' (1993), ''Fearless'' (1993) en ''Swimming with Sharks'' (1994).
