Die A320neo-familie is gebaseer op die vorige A319, A320 en A321. Airbus het die haaivlerkie gemengde vlerkpuntvortekstoestel tydens die November 2009 Doebai-lugskou bekend gestel. Die installasie voeg 200 kg massa by, maar bied 'n brandstofbesparing van 3,5% op vlugte van verder as 2&nbsp;800&nbsp;km.
