Astrud Gilberto
Astrud Gilberto (30 Maart 1940 – 5 Junie 2023)[1][2] ook bekend as Astrud Evangelina Weinert was 'n Brasiliaanse sangeres en komponis van jazz- en popmusiek in die Latyn-Amerikaans-Brasiliaanse styl, veral samba en bossa nova. Sy het in die 1960's bekendheid verwerf met haar Engelse weergawe (The Girl from Ipanema) van Antônio Carlos Jobim se treffer Garota de Ipanema. In 1963 het Astrud Gilberto, wat in Rio de Janeiro groot geword het, haar saam met haar man João in die Verenigde State gevestig waar sy steeds bly.[3][4]
