Oos-Asiatiese studies is 'n multidissiplinêre veld van navorsing en onderwys oor Oos-Asië. Die veld sluit die studie van die streek se kultuur, taal, ekonomie, geskiedenis en politiek in.^[1]^[2]^[3]

By universiteite in Noord-Amerika en die Westerse Wêreld word die studie van Oos-Asië tradisioneel in EALC (Oos-Asiatiese Tale en Beskawings of Kulture) departemente gehuisves.
