Sure, Ben. First off, I started the page in order to keep track of a few things (the sites which updates the statistics don't really archive how things were a month or so ago, they just give you the newest values or absolute values.

1. Algemeen ("General") currently just says that roughly 2588 searches take place each day.
2. Aktiewe bydraers ("Active users"): List the most active users for a time period, along with their number of edits for that period. Also mentions the number of active users (5+ edits) for that period and the number of very active users (100+ edits) for that time period.
3. Gewysigde artikels ("Edited articles"): The 20 most edited articles for a given period (along with the number of times it's been edited in that period).
4. Gewildste bladsye (alle naamruimtes) ("Most popular pages (all namespaces)"): Lists the most popular pages (not just articles, but talkpages, search pages, everything for a certain period of time. This is measured by the number of times that page is requested from the servers where it is housed (the number next to it) - basically how many times it was downloaded in that time frame.
5. Gewildste artikels ("Most popular articles"): same thing as above, but this time only counting actual articles.

Veranderinge vir 2013

Ek wil graag volgende verandering i.t.v. hierdie bladsy voorstel.

• Blad raak redelik groot deur die jaar, dis al 1.7MB - ek wil dit effens verklein deur slegs die top 150 bladsye te lys.

Indien ek geen terugvoer hier sien teen 31 Jan 2013 nie, gaan ek aanvaar die voorstel kan geïmplimenteer word.

Ja, ek dink ook dat die bladsy te groot is. Elke keer as ek hierheen kom gaan staan my rekenaar. Miskien is dit moontlik om die statistieke oor 'n paar verskillende blaaie te versprei? Byvoorbeeld, een blad per jaar? En 'n vraag: verwys hierdie statistiek na die baldtrekke (keer wat die blad gelaai is) of na die aantal afsonderlike besoekers? Groete, AHB

AHB -> Die beste antwoord is vanaf die bladsy wat die oorspronklike statistieke genereer : "Each request of a page, whether for editing or reading, whether a "special page" such as a log of actions generated on the fly, or an article from Wikipedia or one of the other projects, reaches one of our squid caching hosts and the request is sent via udp to a filter which tosses requests from our internal hosts, as well as requests for wikis that aren't among our general projects. This filter writes out the project name, the size of the page requested, and the title of the page requested. " - Arno

Ek het al gewonder of dit moontlik is om te sien wat mense soek, maar nie kry nie. Ons kan dit byvoorbeeld gebruik om te bepaal watter artikels geskep moet word. Groete. Anoniem

Goeie vraag Anoniem. Ek sal bietjie ondersoek instel ... Goed: Bladsysoektogte na artikels wat nie bestaan nie is in die rou data. Dit gaan my net so tydjie vat om die kode te skryf om dit ook te onttrek. Dit gaan ongelukkig ook vals soektogte insluit, m.a.w. soektogte wat verkeerd gespel is ens. Ek sien nie 'n maklike manier om laasgenoemde uit te filtreer nie. Sal jul op hoogte hou. - Arno
