Heiko~afwiki
(I'll write in English, just in case:-) Hi Heiko, thank you for al your work on the categories. We have a convention to use plurals for category names, therefore we would put Charles Aznavour in kategorie:Akteurs, not kategorie:Akteur. This is almost always true in cases where the article is an example of, or type of (actor, whatever). Unfortunately everything is not very consistent yet, and I haven't had time to go over all your work. Thank you again. --Alias 10:45, 7 Augustus 2006(UTC)
- You're quite welcome. I am attempting to organize the kategorie:Mense, and will remember the plural rule. I changed the Akteur kategorie into a redirect. - Heiko 10:54, 7 Augustus 2006 (UTC)
Kyk asseblief hierna. Dankie vir die harde werk! --Alias 06:18, 29 Augustus 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your kind feedback. Thanks! Heiko 20:21, 29 Augustus 2006 (UTC)
- Heiko, did you check that edit? It affected the contents. Was that the intention? --Alias 08:15, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK. Not sure what you mean. Heiko 22:53, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- This edit to A.G. Visser changed the content and the categories. Did you mean to do that? I supposed that you only wanted to change the categories. --Alias 05:57, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I meant only to combine the categories: Kategorie:Afrikaans & Kategorie:Skrywers --> Kategorie:Afrikaanse skrywers. I did not mean to change any of the article's content. Jammer! Heiko 06:01, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I read the diff wrong, it was the edit before yours that had the problem. --Alias 09:49, 8 Oktober 2006 (UTC)
Firmas
wysigHi Heiko, I'm just wondering about some recent categorisations: Comobil is in voertuigtegnologie? Surely it must be in Motorvervaardigers. Same for Comotor. Feel free to ask if you get stuck with the language, of course :-) --Alias 09:49, 8 Oktober 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Alias, with these two examples I was unsure whether to put them in the more specific or more general category. When unsure, I place articles in the more general (parent) category to be on the safe side. Thanks for the help, I will continue to contact you if I need language assistance. - Heiko 23:09, 8 Oktober 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. We might need a "sportspeople" category to be split between Sport and Mense.
Your account will be renamed
wysigHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Heiko. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Heiko~afwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
