Jacobus Arminius

Jacobus Arminius (10 Oktober 1560 – 19 Oktober 1609), die verlatynse naam van Jakob Hermanszoon, was 'n Nederlandse teoloog uit die era van die Hervorming wie se leerstellinge die basis van Arminianisme en die Nederlandse Remonstrante-beweging sou word. Hy het vanaf 1603 as professor in teologie aan die Universiteit van Leiden gedien [1] en verskeie boeke en verhandelinge oor teologie geskryf.
