Die '''Swartpensstormswael''' (''Fregetta tropica'') is 'n [[voël|stormswael]] en 'n algemene besoeker aan die kus van [[Suid-Afrika]]. Die voël is 19 - 21 cm groot en weeg 50 - 60 g met 'n vlerkspan van 44 - 48 sentimeter. Daar broei 150,000 pare in die somer op subantarktiese eilande. In Engels staan die voël bekend as ''Black-bellied storm-petrel''.
