Die vaartbelynde transliterasie-stelsel (Engels: Streamlined System) vir die latinisering van Bulgaars is die amptelike Bulgaarse transliterasie-stelsel, soos deur die aangeduide tabel gedefinieer.[1][2][3]

Behalwe Bulgarye, hierdie stelsel is amptelike vir die VN,[4] en ook vir die VSA en die Verenigde Koninkryk.[5]

Oorsprong en gebruik

Die gestroomlynde stelsel is in 1995 geskep deur Lyubomir Ivanov in die Instituut vir Wiskunde en Informatika van die Bulgaarse Akademie vir Wetenskappe.[6][7] Die stelsel is oorspronklik op 2 Maart 1995 aangeneem om te dien vir die latinisering van Bulgaars geografiese name in Antarktika. Die stelsel is vervolgens deur die Bulgaarse regering gekies as die amptelike transliterasie-stelsel van Bulgarye. Dit is geproklameer met regeringsdekrete in 2000[8][3] en 2006,[9][10] en uiteindelik aangeneem met die Wet op Transliterasie van 2009.[11][12][13] Ivanov stel om sy benadering ook gebruik om transliterasie vir ander Cyrilliese alfabet, veral die Russiese alfabet.[14]
