Baldwin Locomotive Works

Die Baldwin Locomotive Works was 'n Amerikaanse vervaardiger van spoorweglokomotiewe. Dit was oorspronklik geleë in Philadelphia, en later verskuif na die nabygeleë Eddystone, Pennsilvanië. Hoewel die maatskappy baie suksesvol was as die grootste vervaardiger van stoomlokomotiewe, was sy oorgang na die produksie van diesels veel minder. Toe die vroeë aanvraag vir diesellokomotiewe wat stoom vervang het afplat, kon Baldwin nie meer in die mark meeding nie. Sy lokomotiefproduksie is in 1956 gestaak en in 1972 word alle besigheid gesluit, nadat dit meer as 70 000 lokomotiewe geproduseer het, die oorgrote meerderheid aangedryf deur stoom.
