Diane Mary Bridson
Diane Mary Bridson (gebore 1942) is 'n Britse plantkundige.[1][2]

Bridson het in 1963 haar loopbaan begin as 'n assistent in die Afrika-afdeling van die Herbarium by Kew Gardens.[3] Daar het sy meestal aan Rubiaceae gewerk. Sy word uiteindelik 'n Hoof Wetenskaplike Beampte. Sy was vir 'n paar jaar assistentbewaarder en het in 2002 afgetree.[4] Sy was senior tutor op Kew se 'International Diploma Course in Herbarium Techniques' en was mederedakteur van The Herbarium handbook, wat die eerste keer in 1989 gepubliseer is. Sy het omvattend gepubliseer oor Rubiaceae, met 'n besondere fokus op Coffea, insluitend die verslag vir Flora of Tropical East Africa.[5]
Bridson woon al meer as 50 jaar in Ham, Richmond en is aktief in die Friends of Ham Lands- groep, waar sy Nature Safaris lei.[6]
Gebore Diane Sheppard, sy trou met Gavin Bridson (1936-2008) in 1963.[7]
Die standaard outeur-afkorting Bridson word gebruik om hierdie persoon as die outeur aan te dui wanneer 'n botaniese naam aangehaal word.[1]
