François Gagnepain
François Gagnepain (23 September 1866 – 25 Januarie 1952) was 'n Franse plantkundige. Die standaard botaniese skrywer afkorting Gagnep. word toegepas op plante wat deur Gagnepain beskryf is.[1]
Gagnepain het saam met Achille Eugène Finet 'n aantal spesies in die botaniese familie Annonaceae benaam.[2]
Die genus Gagnepainia (familie Zingiberaceae) is tot sy eer deur Karl Moritz Schumann benaam.[3] Die Franse Akademie vir Wetenskappe het die Prix de Coincy vir die jaar 1907 aan Gagnepain toegeken.[4]
