:Hi Aliwal! Did the template ever render language and race figures in its current inception? Racial statistics for example, on en.wiki they were handled by the [[:en:Template:Metadata South Africa/mp2011/race1|race1]] through 9 metatemplates, but it seems that they were [[Template:Metadata South Africa/mp2011/race1|never created]] on af.wiki. It would be possible to create the template series on af.wiki and implement the function in the infobox, but using the demographical figures directly has been frowned upon for a while on en.wiki, since they tend to exclude some areas such as townships.
:The most effective solution to this issue is to copy and paste the infobox from the respective English page, and to substitute it (by adding <code>{{subst:</code> before the template name), as I've done in [https://af.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Warden&type=revision&diff=1374296&oldid=1355752 this edit]. It's not very time consuming, and the name of all parameters is translated automatically; all that needs to be done before saving the page is to translate the caption of the skyline image, anything else can be left as it is.
