Die wolkesuikerbos (Protea nubigena) is 'n baie skaars proteaspesie wat endemies is aan KwaZulu-Natal, Suid-Afrika.[1][2][3][4] Dit kan net gevind word in die Royal Natal Nasionale Park in die Drakensberge naby die Policeman's Helmet, op pad na The Witches, in die rigting van Tugelakloof op 'n hoogte van ongeveer 2 300 m.[5] Die plant groei regop op berghange, word 70 cm hoog en blom van Maart tot April.

Die plant kan weer uitspruit nadat dit gebrand het. Die saad word in 'n doppie geberg en deur die wind versprei. Die plant is eenslagtig. Bestuiwing vind plaas deur die werking van voëls.
Op die SANBI-rooilys is dit as "kritiek bedreig" (CR) gelys.[6]
