What is the actual polticially correct term to use nowadays in Afrikaans for a "township"? I think 'Lokasie' is a bit outdated now, but how about "gebied", "dorp" of "nedersetting"? Groete :) Bezuidenhout (kontak) 14:56, 27 Maart 2011 (UTC)Beantwoord

Lokasie klink vir my dood reg.
Groete. Anoniem
Khayelitsha doesn't seem like a shanty town to me? It has purpose built housing, with organised street names and numbers? Have a browse using google maps. However, eastern Khaye, has a growing squater camp, but this is not Khayelitsha? For Kha. I would prefer Lokasie, because that is what it is! Soweto is a lokasie, Tembisa is a lokasie. In all honesty, squater camps don't really get names do they? Only informal names? Most black people live in townships, not "plakkerskampe" in, for example the Free State? Khayelitsha is 'n township. In Khayelitsha is verskeie plakkerskampe, soos Green Point, Harare, ens. Winston (kontak) 17:05, 29 Maart 2011 (UTC)Beantwoord
Terug na "Khayelitsha"-bladsy.
