Ligging van die kaart in hierdie artikel is slordig - maar ek sukkel so bietjie om hom op beter posisie geplaas te kry het style="clear:right" gebruik maar dan verskyn dit eers na die regterkantste kolom vertoon het. --RM 11:21, 21 Februarie 2006 (UTC)

Certainly not. "Ciprus" is correct Afrikaans, but many people might prefer "Siprus". Voyageur will probably prefer Kýpros, Kıbrıs or eveb Κύπρος. Anrie (kontak) 13:30, 31 Desember 2008 (UTC)

The thing is, if you use "Siprus" as the title, all instances in the same article should refer to "Siprus" as well, for consistency's sake. However, if I were to write an article on Greece and in that article refer to "Ciprus" it wouldn't be wrong and it would be bad form of another user to change it, since both are correct Afrikaans forms. Of course, that leads to debates about which one the article should be under. Convention dicates we use the "more Afrikaans" (usually the more phonetic) version, since "c" is somewhat foreign in Afrikaans, "Siprus" is the more Afrikaans version in this case (but no more correct than Ciprus, mind you!).
