Flag of Palestine (1924)

Hello! @‎HolonZeias why was this flag removed? As far as I can see it is valid to be on the page as a proposed but unofficial flag (as the caption stated) for the 1924 date as shown in Larousse du XXe Siècle(1934) Dictionary. ATravelingWizard (kontak) 22:16, 30 Desember 2023 (UTC)

Goeienaand @ATravelingWizard! There are two reasons for it: the first is that this flag is not a proposed flag for Jewish Palestine, but very likely just an erroneously included design, used in, like you mentioned, a single 1934 edition of the French Larousse dictionnary, which itself is quite well-known for its many errors. It has never been used (although other, similar designs appeared around the same time for Jewish associations), and it would just not make any sense to include it.

The second reason is derived from the first - if you look at the actual file page on Wikimedia Commons, there is an infobox below the file clearly stating that, quote: "Under any circumstances whatsoever, you should not add these flags in any articles", as it is considered a fictional flag without any usage - it is, again, probably just an error that slipped into the flag chart of a French dictionnary. --HolonZeias (kontak) 00:09, 31 Desember 2023 (UTC)
